This role asks for 5+ years product design experience. Does your background cover that?

Yes

You confirmed 5+ years in product design. Your resume already shows user research through customer interviews at Acme Co; Figma and cross-functional work with PM and engineering are only implied, not stated clearly. Here's how you match this Figma role today, plus a few edits that make your existing experience easier for recruiters to see.

Common questions

Straight answers about ATS, AI honesty, and what Verlane does.

Will this help me pass ATS screening?+

The match score is a transparent formula — keyword coverage, structure, and contact info — so you see the same math before and after edits. AI helps write suggestions from your real experience; the score itself isn't guessed. It's a fit check, not a guarantee of an interview.

Will Verlane invent skills or experience I don't have?+

No. Gap detection flags hard requirements (languages, certifications, years of experience) and asks you first. Suggestions only draw from your resume, Mindbase, and confirmed answers. If you say you don't have something, Verlane tailors honestly instead of padding.

How is this different from ChatGPT or other AI resume tools?+

Most tools generate text from a blank prompt. Verlane reads your stored resume and career notes, asks clarifying questions, and shows before/after diffs you accept one by one. The goal is a tailored resume you can defend in an interview — not generic AI filler.

Does it write cover letters and application answers too?+

Yes. After tailoring, ask for a cover letter or paste an application question in the same chat thread. Both use the same evidence as your resume — no re-uploading or starting over.

Is it free?+

Sign in with Google or email to save your resume and tailoring history. Verlane is free while we're in early access — we'll be upfront about pricing before anything is charged.

Who is Verlane for?+
